The Wolf Den Articles

I would like to introduce readers to a series of articles that I've written over the last year that were originally published in The Racing Post. The Racing Post is a publication in the Southwest that reaches mostly Cat. 2-5 and Junior riders.

Yes, I am biased, but even though these articles are directed toward aspiring road racers, there is something in them for everyone. Mountain bike, recreational riders and tourists can surely glean something. For people who never race but are curious what goes through a cyclist's head, they should be an entertaining read.

I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing the column. I take a different angle than anything you will see in conventional media. If you're looking for a way to raise your Vo2 max a couple of points, you won't find the recipe in the Wolf Den Articles. My hope is that you will come away with tools that will help you develop your own style. I want you to enjoy the sport, because it is special in so many ways. To me, it's not about numbers. It's about broadening your mind and tapping into the spaces that will help you fulfill and enhance yourself through racing.

Beware. Full disclaimer: I ambitiously state that you will accelerate your abilities by thinking about what I've written in the Wolf Den. Possibly much more so than by being sucked into the mainstream media blitz on training and diet advice. I should not be held liable for your self improvement.

So there. I've said my piece. Have at it. The articles are in the right hand column, under the sign.
