The Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, UT, got something it did not expect, this Summer. DeFeet, Fender® Instruments, Invista® and RocketBux® came together to provide something extra special. 'Rock for Socks' made it's debut at the DeFeet booth. Contestants auditioned for a shot at the big show at the Invista booth and a chance to win a Fender guitar.

Many brave musicians showed their chops at the DeFeet booth. "Triple Cranks" band members Jonathan Birchfield and Stuart Garmin judged the contestants. At Invista, the party was on as they were celebrating '30 years of Cordura'. Viewers at the booth voted via their cellphones, American Idol style. In the end, Dave Marriner of DAJO Adventure Gear took top honors and went home with a beatiful new Fender guitar.

Since it was a major birthday for Invista, the Triple Cranks showed up and put on a show for everyone. Jonathan Birchfield gave an acoustic display that no one will forget. Stuart Garmon and DeFeet's own Shane Cooper joined him and gave everyone within earshot some serious rock and sock wisdom.
