TdF Stage 10 Recap. - Vasseur DeFeet's Voigt et al

The windy road, the patchy terrain.. you could sense that the ocean was coming, today. There's something about that part of France that makes you want to put the bike down, order up an ice cream, and peel off the clothes. If you find yourself in a breakaway with Jens Voigt, though, that would be the wrong mindset to be in. He is one aggressive, attentive dude. He won't give you a 20 meter gap, and you better not give him 10 or you might not get it back. He will wring your neck all the way to the finish on a day like this.
Cedric Vasseur pulled the lapin out of the chapeau, giving DeFeet yet another win at the Tour. Salutations to Cedric, the first Frenchman to win a stage, this year. It's beginning to become obvious that if you are wearing DeFeet socks and there are other riders with you at the finish, you have a distinct advantage.
This DeFeet demonstration was also carried out at the Womens Elite National Road Race Championship in Seven Springs, PA. 21 yr. old Mara Abbot pipped Kristin Armstong for the title. Again, four of the the top five women were wearing DeFeet socks. Mara Abbot has made it well apparent that she is a great hope for American cycling. She recently finished 2nd in the Montreal World Cup event. That was her first World Cup, too!
Elite Women's National RR PodiumIt's not too late to enter yesterday's text poll/contest, either. We had strong participation, which will soon solidify the nickname of Soler. Polling will end at midnight, Pacific Time, tonight.
