Bode is on D loose.

The alpine skiing World Cup has made it's way the United States, this week, and DeFeet's own Bode Miller has been on a tear. Yesterday, Bode crushed the field in the downhill of the 'Super Combined'. Super Combined has two stages: one run of downhill, one of slalom. In the downhill, Bode's margin of victory was massive - unfortunately he skied out of the slalom event and had to take a DNF.

To come back today and win the 'Birds of Prey' downhill (thought by most to be one of the three toughest in the World) in Beaver Creek, CO, Bode showed his resolve. That kind of display is what we like most about Bode. He is truly a 'Driven Sole' by DeFeet terms. In his case, it's not just because he wins or crashes out. The most important aspect of Bode is that he doesn't put stock in everyones opinion of him - he goes out there and does it his own way. That approach brought him a lot of criticism, but most importantly it's the path he had to take to become the best in the World at his sport.

We salute Bode, today, because he's a DeFeet athlete, on top of his game, his way.
