Since 2010, DeFeet has been an Official Sponsor of the National Ski Patrol. The National Ski Patrol is a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public and outdoor recreation industry. The association has over 28,000 members in 600 patrols across the U.S. and Europe. These members represent 98 percent of the nation’s patrollers and over 70% are completely volunteer. Fortunately for all of us, even inexpensive ski boots fit better than the primitive vise-gripping torture devices of the not-so-distant past. For skiers who want extra padding, we developed the Ski-D™. The extra padding in the toes also provides extra insulation to keep the piggies warm while you ski. Extreme skier Chris Davenport found that Ski-D’s go uphill as well as they go down. In 2006, he used them to summit and descend all 54 of Colorado’s 14,000+ foot peaks, a truly amazing feat.
