The original Aireator® was such a solid, versatile platform for a sock that it had to made in wool also. That is exactly what the Wooleator® is. Performance cycling and running shoes require a sock that doesn’t take up too much space. Cooler temperatures and inclement weather doesn’t mean your shoes grow to accommodate thicker socks. You need better insulation in the same space. This is when the Wooleator® shines. Since they are so thin, they don’t take summers off. For an honest, four season multi-sport workhorse of a sock, try the Wooleator®.

Much like other reviewers I wear these socks for multiple activities including cycling, running, hiking, adventure racing, and back country skiing (The High Tops are just tall enough for my ski boots. No need for the knee-high). If you like a thick "padded" sock, this is not for you. I personally like how the thin socks provide a solid connection to my shoe. In spite of being thin, they are very durable. Finally they do a great job of wicking moisture away, making them comfortable in cold AND hot weather. I really wear those socks for everything.
Overall: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Best Sock Ever. Seriously.

I wear these socks everyday, for everything. I bought 5 pairs a little over a year ago and have worn them everywhere. Whether it's riding my bike, under my waders while fly fishing, on backpacking trips, running, or as my everyday sock, I prefer this sock over any other. The material is light enough that even though they are wool I wear them through the summer and they stay much cooler and drier than synthetic socks. The thin material also means that they don't bunch up or feel bulky, but still provide warmth. The wool also gets less stinky than synthetic, and dries quickly if you need to hand wash them. I have tried every wool sock I can find, some are decent, some are less "Smart" than they proclaim, but absolutely no other sock is as versatile or comfortable as this one.
Overall: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
